A sponsor is a company with a booth in the event. You create it in the Create sponsor drawer under Sponsors > Sponsors and change it later with Edit Details. The same drawer holds the booth's appearance, details, section names and the organizer-only booth controls. An App preview pane next to the drawer shows the booth as the app shows it.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin. Sponsor admins edit their own booth from Booths; they see only Appearance (without Category), Booth details and Tab Customization.
The sponsors feature must be on. If Sponsors shows "Sponsors feature is not active", select Activate.
Create at least one category under Sponsors > Categories first. The Sponsors tab is disabled until a category exists. See Manage sponsor categories.
Some form sections depend on event settings: Meet-at-booth (Sponsors > Settings > Booth), Location (Sponsors > Settings > Advanced > Location for sponsors), Matchmaking (Sponsors > Settings > Advanced > Matchmaking for sponsors) and Custom fields (Custom content > Custom Fields).
Where to find it
Create: Sponsors > Sponsors > Add new in the admin panel. In an event without sponsors the page shows Create first sponsor instead.
Edit: Sponsors > Sponsors > [sponsor] > Edit Details.
Create a sponsor
Open Sponsors > Sponsors.
Select Add new. The Create sponsor drawer opens.
Under Appearance, enter the Company name and choose a Category. To create a category here, select New category.
Optional: enter a Subtitle, select Upload logo, and change the CTA text. The Cover Image field appears only when the chosen category has the size Large.
Under Booth details, choose an Industry and enter the Website, Facebook, Linkedin, X handle, Instagram handle and Description.
Under Tab Customization, rename or reorder the booth sections if needed. See Rename booth sections and the CTA button.
Under Booth Control, turn the switches on or off. See the Settings section for what each one does.
Fill in Sponsored Session Data, Networking Rules, Location, Matchmaking and Custom fields if they apply.
Select Create. Brella shows "Sponsor created successfully".
Create stays disabled until Company name and Category are filled in. Cancel closes the drawer without saving.
Preview the booth
The App preview pane opens on the left of the Create sponsor and Update sponsor drawers. It shows the booth in a phone frame and updates as you type, before you save.
Sponsor page: the booth page. The carousel or cover image, logo, details and description show as attendees see them. Representatives, products, downloads and sessions show as placeholders with their counts, in the order set under Tab Customization, followed by a placeholder for links.
Sponsor card: the sponsor's card on the sponsors page, with the CTA text.
Creating a sponsor also creates a schedule location named "<Company name> Booth", used for meet-at-booth meetings. Brella runs automatic representative linking right after the sponsor is created. See Link representatives to a booth.
Edit a sponsor
Open Sponsors > Sponsors.
Select the sponsor's name, or View in its Actions column. The sponsor page opens with the tabs Overview, Representatives, Products, Downloads, Engagement, Traffic Analytics, Scans and Sessions.
Select Edit Details. The Update sponsor drawer opens with the same sections as Create sponsor.
Change the fields and select Update. Brella shows "Sponsor updated successfully".
Update stays disabled until you change something. Changing the Company name also renames the sponsor's booth location to "<new name> Booth".
Edit Virtual Booth, next to Edit Details, opens the carousel slides and sidebar links. See Set up the booth carousel and Add links to a booth. Products and downloads have their own tabs on the sponsor page.
To find a sponsor in a long list, type in Search by name or choose a category in the list that defaults to All categories. The table shows Size, Name, Category, Meetings, Reps and Scans for each sponsor, 10 rows per page by default. For a sponsor with a meeting cap, Meetings reads "accepted / cap".
Settings
The banner at the top of the drawer reads "Settings marked Admin only are hidden from sponsor admins". Sections and fields tagged Admin Only are visible to organizers only.
