Navigate the admin panel

The admin panel at manager.brella.io is where you set up and run your events. It has three levels: your organizations, an organization's pages, and an event's pages.

Before you start

  • You need an admin role: organization admin, event admin or sponsor admin. The role decides which organizations, events and pages you see. See How organizations and admin roles work.

  • Brella creates new events. The Create Event and Duplicate options are shown only to Brella staff. To get a new event, contact Brella or your account manager.

Where to find it

Open manager.brella.io and sign in. See Sign in to the admin panel.

Set up your first event

Follow Set up a new event with the Event Setup guide for the setup order and attendee rehearsal. Use Plan your event communications to decide when to invite people and send reminders.

The start pages

After you sign in, the sidebar shows:

  • Organizations: the Your Organizations page, with a card for each organization where you are an organization admin or an event admin. Select Launch or the organization name to open it.

  • Events: shown only to Brella staff.

  • Booths: shown to sponsor admins. It lists the sponsor booths you manage. If your only role is sponsor admin, the admin panel opens on this page.

Organization pages

When you open an organization, the sidebar shows its pages. What you see depends on your role.

  • Home: the organization's events. Organization admins see every event. Event admins see only the events they were added to. Select an event to open it.

  • Admins: invite and remove organization admins, event admins and sponsor admins. Organization admins only.

  • API: API tokens. Organization admins only, when Brella has turned on API access for the organization.

  • Custom domains: your own email domain and subdomain. Organization admins only, when Brella has turned on custom domains.

  • Integration credentials: credentials for native integrations, such as Swoogo. Organization admins and event admins see it; only organization admins can use it.

  • Settings: the organization's logo and name. Organization admins only.

Event pages

When you open an event, the sidebar shows the event's pages.

At the top of the sidebar you see the event name, its start date and its length in days. Select the star next to the event name to add the event to My Events. The arrow at the top left takes you back to the organization.

A new event shows an Event Setup block instead, with three steps: Details, Matchmaking and Schedule. The block disappears when all three are done. See Set up a new event with the Event Setup guide.

The main pages and groups are:

  • Home, Analytics and Details

  • Customization: Event Logo, Cover Images, Home Screen, Branding, Maps, Welcome Screen, App Sponsor, Tabs, Featured Tiles

  • Matchmaking

  • Networking: Overview, Open Meetings, Managed Meetings, Networking Areas, Ratings, Settings

  • Engagement: Pitch Reels

  • People and Sponsors

  • Content: Schedule, Speakers, Streams, Breakout rooms, Spaces

  • Communications: Stories, Custom Emails, Email Settings, Reminders, Announcements

  • Custom content: Custom pages, Custom Fields, Event info

  • Integrations: Integration List, Native Integrations, Webhooks, Webhooks logs

Some pages are hidden:

  • Maps is hidden for virtual events.

  • Spaces, Webhooks and Webhooks logs appear only when Brella has turned them on for the event.

At the bottom of the sidebar:

  • Material bank opens Brella's material bank inside the admin panel. Event pages only.

  • New features opens Brella's roadmap at roadmap.brella.io in a new tab. It is at the bottom of every sidebar.

The top bar

The right side of the top bar has these controls, from left to right:

  • Search: find pages, events, content slots, speakers and attendees. Event pages only. Shortcut: ⌘ + P (Mac) / Ctrl + P (Windows). See Search the admin panel.

  • Star button: opens My Events, your list of starred events. It appears after you star at least one event.

  • Cloud button: opens Cloud sync, the progress of imports and other background jobs. It appears on event pages when the event has background jobs. See Track imports and bulk actions with Cloud sync.

  • Support: opens a chat with Brella support.

  • Moon button: switches the admin panel to dark mode. In dark mode it shows a sun, which switches back. See Use dark mode and event colors in the admin panel.

  • Your profile picture (or the first letter of your first name): opens your account settings, where you also log out. See Manage your admin panel account.

Get help

Select Support in the top bar to contact tech support. You can also reach out to your Brella contact for additional information and assistance if it is included in your package.

Limits

  • In the admin panel, only Brella staff can create organizations, create events and duplicate events.

  • My Events and the dark mode choice are saved in your browser. They don't follow you to another browser or computer.

Troubleshooting

"You have no Organizations yet. Ask your Organization Admin to invite you."
Your account isn't an organization admin or an event admin in any organization. Ask an organization admin to invite you. If you were invited, select the link in the invitation email to accept it. See Accept an admin panel invitation.

You can't find an event
Event admins see only the events they were added to. Ask an organization admin to give you access to the event. If the event is new, contact Brella.

A page is missing from the sidebar
Some pages depend on your role or on features Brella turns on. Admins and Settings are for organization admins. Maps is hidden for virtual events. Spaces and Webhooks need Brella to turn them on.
