The Sponsors page in the app lists your sponsors by category. Turn it on or off for the whole event with Use sponsors, and give it another name and icon, such as "Exhibitors" or "Partners", under Customization > Tabs.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
Turning sponsors off hides the page and the booths in the app. It deletes nothing: "Turning off sponsors doesn't erase your data".
The page name is limited to 14 characters and must differ from the other tab names.
Where to find it
Turn on or off: Sponsors (the Activate button) and Sponsors > Settings > General > Use sponsors in the admin panel.
Rename: Customization > Tabs, the row labeled Sponsors. The same name and icon can be edited under Sponsors > Tabs with Edit on the Sponsors row.
Turn the Sponsors page on
Open Sponsors in the event sidebar. While sponsors are off, the page reads "Sponsors feature is not active" and "Activate to add your sponsors and sponsor categories."
Select Activate. The Sponsors tabs appear, starting with Categories.
The page shows in the app as soon as sponsors are on, even before you add a sponsor. Create categories and sponsors next. See Manage sponsor categories and Create and edit a sponsor.
Turn the Sponsors page off
Open Sponsors > Settings.
Under General, turn off Use sponsors. The change saves at once.
In an event without categories, the Categories tab also offers the link Deactivate sponsors.
While sponsors are off:
The page is not listed in the app menu or the web app's left menu.
The sponsor booth row on an attendee's Account screen is hidden.
In Customization > Tabs, the Sponsors row is striped and shows "This feature is disabled".
The admin panel's Sponsors page shows only Activate. Your categories, sponsors, booths, ads and statistics are kept.
Prepare the list before attendees join:
Keep Use sponsors on while creating categories, booths and ads.
Check the booths in the attendee app.
Turn Use sponsors off if the completed list should stay hidden until launch.
Open Sponsors and select Activate when you are ready to show it.
While the feature is off, the normal Sponsor tabs are unavailable for editing. Reactivating it restores those tabs and shows the sponsors to attendees.
Rename the Sponsors page
Open Customization > Tabs.
Find the row labeled Sponsors and enter the new name in its field. Up to 14 characters.
To change the icon, select the icon next to the field and pick another one.
Select Save changes. Brella shows "Tabs updated".
The field is validated as you type: "Tab name is required.", "Tab name cannot exceed 14 characters." and "Tab name must be unique." Save changes stays disabled while a field has an error or nothing changed. Drag the row to change the page's position in the menu.
You can also rename the page under Sponsors > Tabs: select Edit on the Sponsors row, change Tab name and Tab icon in the Edit sponsor tab drawer, and select Save changes. The Tab link of this row can't be changed and the row can't be deleted. See Create sponsor tabs.
What attendees see
The new name and icon appear in the mobile app's Menu, in the web app's left menu, and as the page title.
When the page lists one category or none, its search button reads "Search for" followed by the plural of the name, for example "Search for exhibitors".
The word "booth" on the booth button and inside booths is a separate setting, Rename "Booth" under Sponsors > Settings > Booth. It is shown while Meet-at-booth is on and takes up to 20 characters. See Set up meet-at-booth and booth links.
The row Partner representative? on the attendee's Account screen, the sheet Choose partner and the toast "Linked partner to your profile" do not follow the page name. They use a separate event text whose default is "Partners". This text has no field in the admin panel. The row appears only when Show booth links in profile is on and the attendee is a representative.
Rename a sponsor company
To change a company's name, open Sponsors > Sponsors, select the sponsor, then Edit Details, change Company name and select Update. The sponsor's schedule location is renamed to "<new name> Booth" at the same time. See Create and edit a sponsor.
Settings
Setting | What it does | Default |
Use sponsors | Shows or hides the sponsors page and the booths in the app. Nothing is deleted when it is off | Off |
Tab name of the Sponsors row (Customization > Tabs) | Name of the page in the app menu and page title | "Sponsors" |
Tab icon of the Sponsors row | Icon in the app menu | Handshake |
Limits
Page name: 14 characters, required, unique among the event's tabs.
The built-in Sponsors page can't be deleted and its link can't be changed. Sponsor tabs you create have their own names; see Create sponsor tabs.
Renaming the page does not rename the admin panel's Sponsors menu, the "Partner representative?" row or the word "booth".
Troubleshooting
The Sponsors page is missing in the app
Use sponsors is off. Open Sponsors in the admin panel and select Activate, or turn on Use sponsors under Sponsors > Settings > General.
The Sponsors tab in the admin panel is disabled
The event has no category. Open Sponsors > Categories and select Add new.
"Tab name must be unique."
Another tab already uses this name. Pick a different one; the check ignores letter case.
The app still shows the old name
Select Save changes under Customization > Tabs; the field alone does not save. The app picks up the change the next time it loads the event.
