Change the name, icon and order of the pages attendees see in the app menu. The changes apply to the mobile app and the web app.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
Custom pages and sponsor tabs are created elsewhere. See Add a custom page to the event app and Create sponsor tabs. They appear on this page once created.
Where to find it
Customization > Tabs in the admin panel.
What the page lists
The page has one row per page of the event, in the order attendees see them. Each row shows its type on the left:
Built-in pages: Home, Discovery, People, Schedule, Stream, Breakout Rooms, Speakers, Sponsors and Spaces.
Custom page: each custom page.
Sponsor page: each sponsor tab.
Program page: each Managed Meetings program.
Three read-only rows follow Home: My schedule, Networking and QR code. They are the fixed tabs of the mobile app's tab bar. You can't rename, move or hide them here; hover over a row to see when attendees see it.
Rows with diagonal stripes are hidden from attendees:
"This feature is disabled": the feature is off for the event, or the custom page or sponsor tab is not published.
"Visible once the program is published": the Managed Meetings program is still a draft.
Rename and reorder
Open Customization > Tabs.
To rename a page, enter the new name in its field.
To change the icon, select the icon field on the right of the row, search with Search for an icon and choose one.
To move a page, drag the row by the handle on its left. Home stays first.
Check the order in Tabs preview.
Select Save changes. If the event is in progress, confirm with Apply changes.
The message "Tabs updated" confirms the save.
Renaming a custom page or a sponsor tab here also renames it under Custom pages or Sponsors > Tabs.
What attendees see
Mobile app, and web app windows narrower than 768 px
The tab bar has a fixed order: Home, My Schedule, Networking, QR Code and Menu. Home uses the name you gave it. My Schedule uses your schedule page name, for example My Agenda.
My Schedule, Networking and QR Code show only when their conditions are met. Hover over their rows on the Tabs page to see the conditions.
The Menu tab shows the other pages as tiles, in your order, with your names and icons. A Settings tile comes last.
Web app windows 768 px and wider
The left menu shows Home, My Schedule, Networking and QR Code, then the other pages in your order, then Account.
On every platform
A renamed built-in page uses the new name elsewhere too, for example in the My Schedule tab and the page title.
Attendees don't see:
pages of features that are off;
Discovery, unless natural language search is on;
custom pages limited to lists the attendee is not on;
unpublished custom pages and sponsor tabs;
Managed Meetings program pages of programs the attendee is not part of.
Settings
Setting | What it does | Default |
Page name | The name on the tab, the menu tile and the page title. Required, up to 14 characters, unique in the event. | Home: "Event Home". Others: "Discovery", "People", "Schedule", "Stream", "Breakout Rooms", "Speakers", "Sponsors", "Spaces" |
Icon | The icon on the menu tile and in the web app's left menu. Home and the tab bar keep fixed icons. | One icon per built-in page |
Order | The order in the Menu tab and the web app's left menu. | Home, Discovery, People, Schedule, Stream, Breakout Rooms, Speakers, Sponsors, Spaces |
Limits
Home can't be moved.
My schedule, Networking and QR code can't be renamed or moved. Their order in the tab bar is fixed.
Page names are limited to 14 characters.
The Discovery row is listed without stripes even when natural language search is off. Attendees see Discovery only when it is on.
Troubleshooting
"Tab name must be unique."
Another page already has this name (capitals don't count). Choose a different name.
"Tab name cannot exceed 14 characters." or "Tab name is required."
Shorten the name, or enter one.
A page is missing from the app
Its row is striped, or the attendee is not allowed to see it (see What attendees see). Turn on the feature, publish the page, or check its list access.
