Tracks, locations and tags organize the agenda. A track is a column of the schedule with its own color; a location is where a session takes place; tags are labels attendees filter by. Every session has exactly one track, at most one location and any number of tags.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
Use schedule must be on.
Every event starts with two tracks: Event Sessions for content slots and 1:1 meetings for networking slots. Networking slots always go to 1:1 meetings; see Create networking slots.
Add sponsors under Sponsors before you sponsor a track.
Warning: Deleting a track or a tag can't be undone. Deleting a track moves its sessions to the default track. Deleting a tag or location removes it from every session.
Where to find it
Content > Schedule in the admin panel, tabs Tracks, Tags and Locations. You can also create a location or a tag from a session's Details tab with Add new location and Add new tag.
Plan the agenda structure
Choose what each schedule column should represent. Tracks can group sessions by topic or by room. Keep the names useful to attendees, and use the same structure throughout the event.
For example, at a conference with several topics:
Track:
Productgroups sessions about product work.Location:
Hall Btells attendees where a particular session takes place.Tags:
Workshop,BeginnerandAIdescribe its format, level and topic.
At an event organized around stages, use Main stage and Workshop stage as tracks, then use tags for topics. A location still identifies the physical room. Do not use a tag such as VIP to control access: set Who can access this slot? in the session's Preferences. See Restrict a session to specific registrant lists.
Before launch, open the agenda as an attendee and check that the columns, locations and tag filters are understandable. For networking windows and areas, use Create networking slots.
Tracks
Create a track
Open Content > Schedule > Tracks.
Select Add new. The New track drawer opens.
Enter the Track name. Required ("Please input track name."), up to 150 characters, unique within the event.
Choose a Track color. The first color in the list is preselected. Sessions in the track use it on their cards unless a session overrides it.
Optional: upload a Track cover image. Every session in the track without its own cover image uses it. Square, JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB.
Optional: enter a Track description. Attendees read it on the track page.
Optional: turn on Track is sponsored and choose one or more sponsors.
Optional: turn on Show highlighted speakers. For a new track the form says "You will get to select the featured speakers when sessions with speakers have been added to this track."
Select Create. The message "Track created successfully" confirms it.
Edit, reorder, disable or delete a track
The Tracks tab lists the tracks in the order attendees see them. Each row has a switch, the color block and the name.
To edit, select the row. It expands into the form with an extra read-only Track ID field (copy icon, "ID copied to clipboard"). Change the fields and select Save changes ("Track updated successfully").
To reorder, drag a row by its handle. The new order is saved at once ("Tracks sorted successfully") and sets the order of the content track columns in the app. The 1:1 meetings track is always the first column.
To hide a track and all its sessions from attendees without deleting anything, turn off its switch ("Track disabled successfully"). In the Timeslots table its sessions are greyed out with the tooltip "Track is disabled, and this session is not visible to attendees". Turn the switch on to show them again.
To delete, expand the row, select Delete track and confirm "Are you sure you want to delete this track?" ("All the timeslots assigned to this track will get moved to the default track. This action cannot be undone."). Its sessions move to the default content track.
The 1:1 meetings track can't be disabled or deleted, and its Track color and Show highlighted speakers are locked. The default content track (Event Sessions unless renamed) can't be deleted either.
Highlight speakers on a track
Highlighted speakers appear in a Highlighted speakers section on the track's page in the app. You pick them from the speakers assigned to the track's sessions.
Add speakers to sessions in the track first. See Add speakers and link them to sessions.
Open Tracks and select the track.
Turn on Show highlighted speakers. A box with Configure appears ("No speakers selected" until you pick some).
Select Configure. The Configure highlighted speakers drawer lists Highlighted speakers and, under it, Available speakers: every speaker of the track's sessions who is not highlighted yet, sorted by name.
Turn on the switch next to each speaker you want to highlight. The speaker moves to Highlighted speakers.
Drag highlighted speakers to set their order.
Select Save changes in the drawer. The track is saved at the same time.
To remove a speaker from the track page, open Configure, turn the speaker's switch off and select Save changes. Turning off Show highlighted speakers alone hides the Configure box in the admin panel but keeps the speakers on the track page.
If the track's sessions have no speakers, the form shows "You will get to select the featured speakers when sessions with speakers have been added to this track." instead of the Configure box.
Highlighted speakers on a track are not the same as Featured speakers on the Home page. See Order speakers and choose featured speakers.
Rename the word "Track"
Under Content > Schedule > Settings > Track, enter a new word in Rename "Track", up to 10 characters, and select Save. The app uses it, in plural, as the name of the track filter in the schedule. The admin panel keeps saying "Track".
Locations
A location is a room or place. A session can have one location; the app shows it on the session page and on session cards and offers it in the Location filter. Networking slots use networking areas instead, picked in the slot's Location field; those are not schedule locations.
Open Content > Schedule > Locations.
Select Add new location.
In Add location, enter the Name. Required ("Title is required!").
Select OK.
Select Edit in a row to rename a location, or Delete and confirm "This location will be deleted and removed from all timeslots. This action cannot be undone".
Tags
Tags are labels such as topics or formats. A session can have many tags; attendees filter by them with Tags and see them on the session page and, by default, on the card.
Open Content > Schedule > Tags.
Select Add new tag.
In Add tag, enter the Name. Required ("Title is required!").
Select OK.
Select Edit in a row to rename a tag, or Delete and confirm "This tag will be deleted and removed from all timeslots. This action cannot be undone".
In a session's editor, the clear icon in the Tags or Location field removes the tag or location from that session only.

What attendees see
In Timeline and Linear views, each enabled track is a column with its name and More info; the track page opens from it or from the track label on a session page. The 1:1 meetings track comes first, then your content tracks in the order of the Tracks tab.
The track page shows the cover image, name, description, Sponsored by with sponsor cards, Highlighted speakers, and Sessions (N).
Sessions in the same track can overlap; the Timeline view draws them side by side.
Filters: the track filter (named after your Rename "Track" word, in plural), Tags and Location. Tracks with no visible sessions are hidden when Hide empty tracks is on.
The mobile app and the web app show the same screens.
Limits
Track name: 150 characters, unique in the event.
Rename "Track": 10 characters.
Track cover image: 10 MB.
One location per session; one networking area per networking slot.
The default content track and the 1:1 meetings track can't be deleted.
Troubleshooting
"Couldn't create a track, please try again."
A track with that name exists. Track names are unique within the event.
"Couldn't delete track, please try again."
The track is the default content track or the 1:1 meetings track. These can't be deleted.
No Configure box under Show highlighted speakers
The track's sessions have no speakers. Add speakers to the sessions in the Speakers tab of the session editor, then open the track again.
A track is missing in the app
Its switch is off, or it has no visible sessions on that day and Hide empty tracks is on.
