A content slot is a session on the agenda: a keynote, a workshop, a break. Attendees see it on the Schedule page, can bookmark it and open its page. Networking slots are different: they set times for 1:1 meetings. See Create networking slots.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
Use schedule must be on. If Content > Schedule shows Set-up the event schedule, choose a layout and select Activate schedule.
Set the event dates first under Details. A session must start and end within them.
Create tracks, locations and tags first if you want to pick them while creating the session. You can also add a location or a tag from the session editor. See Tracks, locations and tags.
Where to find it
Content > Schedule > Timeslots in the admin panel. When the event lasts several days, open the day's tab first. The New content slot button is above the table on the right.
Create a content slot
Open the tab of the day the session takes place.
Select New content slot. The Add new content slot drawer opens on the Details tab.
Optional: under Content slot cover image, select Upload and crop the image. Square, 1500×1500 px recommended, JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB.
Enter a Title. Required, up to 150 characters.
Optional: enter a Subtitle. Up to 100 characters.
Check the Date. The picker only offers days within the event dates.
Choose the Start time and End time. To enter a length instead, select Give as duration and set the Duration. Change minute increment in the time picker switches between 5-minute and 1-minute steps.
Choose a Track. The default track ("Event Sessions" unless renamed) is preselected.
Optional: choose a Location, or select Add new location to create one.
Optional: choose Tags, or select Add new tag to create one.
Optional: enter a Stream/Video Url. Attendees open it with Watch now.
Optional: enter a Map Url, including
https://. Attendees open it from the session's map button. The button appears only when the event has a map under Customization > Maps.Optional: write the Description. Bold, links and lists are available.
Optional: fill in the session custom fields at the bottom.
Optional: open the other tabs (Preferences, Sponsors, Child sessions, Speakers) and set what you need. See The Schedule page and the session editor.
Select Create. The message "Timeslot created" confirms it.
To add several sessions in a row, tick Create another before selecting Create. The drawer stays open with the date preset.
Edit a content slot
Select Edit in the session's row, change the fields and select Update. The message "Timeslot edited successfully" confirms it. Tabs that need a saved session (Registrations, Traffic analytics, Ratings) appear from the first edit on.

Brella adds https:// to a Stream/Video Url entered without a scheme and drops links that use a scheme other than http, https or sms. A Map Url must include https://; the editor rejects anything else ("Please enter a valid URL").
What attendees see
A card in the track's column of the Schedule page (or the name your organizer gave it), with the title, the times, the speakers' names and, when you ticked Show the first sponsor's logo in the schedule card., the first sponsor's logo.
Sessions in the same track can overlap. The Timeline view draws overlapping sessions side by side in a wider column. Nothing stops you from creating overlapping sessions.
Selecting the card opens the session page with the cover image, title, subtitle, tags, track, time, location, Watch now, the description, custom fields and the sections for chat, sponsors, speakers, registrations, child sessions and links. The bookmark button is in the bar at the bottom of the page.
The mobile app and the web app show the same card and page.
Limits
Title: 150 characters. Subtitle: 100 characters in the editor.
Cover image: 10 MB.
Start and end must lie within the event dates ("not within event"). The end time can't be before the start time ("End time must be later than start time!").
One location per session. Any number of tags.
New sessions get Enable ratings on when Enable session ratings by default is on in Settings.
Troubleshooting
The day I need has no tab
The event dates in Details don't include that day. Extend the event dates first.
"Title is required!"
Enter a title before selecting Create.
The session shows the wrong cover image
The session has no image of its own and uses the track's Track cover image. Upload an image in Content slot cover image to replace it.
