Home is the first page of an event in the admin panel. It shows the join details, a setup checklist for upcoming events, and statistics about attendees, meetings, chats and matchmaking.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin of the event.
The statistics need no setup. Rows about open chat and lead scanning show a dash until those features are on.
Where to find it
Home in the event sidebar. Opening an event also lands on Home once the event setup is complete.
Join details
For a public event, the top of the page shows Join Code and Join URL. Share them with attendees. See Invite-only or public: event visibility, join codes and join links.
For an invite-only event, this line is empty. Registrants use their personal join links from People > Registrants.
Your next steps
Before the event starts (by the event's start date in its time zone), Home shows the Your next steps card with six tasks. Each task name links to the page in the admin panel. The first five tasks have a question mark icon with a link to a help article.
Check details and add a cover photo
Set up matchmaking
Add the meeting slots for networking
Add speakers and complete your schedule
Add sponsors and set up virtual booths
Launch your event by sharing the join link(s)
Tick each task yourself when it is done. Brella does not tick tasks for you. The card says "Check off each step once completed. First three steps are required for launch!": the sixth task stays disabled until the first three are ticked.
The ticks are saved on the event, so every admin of the event sees the same ticks. The X in the corner hides the card. When all six are ticked, a Hide checklist button appears as well. Hiding the card also applies to every admin of the event. To bring it back, select the …% to-dos completed link (or All to-dos completed) at the top right of Home.
Statistics cards
The cards appear in this order. Each card has an info icon with a short description and a link to its help article. A doughnut with no data says "No data available yet."
Card | What it shows |
Attendees | Total attendees (people who joined), with a small graph of joins per day. Rows: Avg. engagement per networking attendee, Attendees with meetings, Attendees with meetings converted from open chat, Attendees with scans (lead scanning only) and Active this week. Hybrid events also get Virtual attendees, In-Person attendees and Hybrid attendees. |
Engagement overview | Total engagement with a graph per day. Rows: Meeting acceptance rate, Direct meeting acceptance rate, Meeting acceptance rate after open chat, Open chat reply rate, Total 1:1 chat messages, Total scans, Scanned by sponsors and Scanned by attendees. Open chat rows need open chat; scan rows need lead scanning. |
Meetings and open chats | Meetings split into Accepted, Pending, Rescheduled, Cancelled / rejected (chat left open) and Cancelled / rejected (chat left closed). Open chats split into Answered, Converted to accepted meetings and Pending. |
Meetings | A doughnut of meeting requests: percent accepted, pending or rescheduled, and canceled or rejected. |
Open chats | A doughnut of open chats answered and pending, with the share of answered chats that turned into meetings. When open chat is off, the card says "Open chat is disabled for this event." |
Engagement & new attendees | A line chart of Engagement and Attendees joined over time. Change the Interval (Day, Week or Month) and the Date range. The default range runs from 7 days before the event start to the event end date. |
Meeting request activity | A doughnut that compares meeting requests sent Before event and During event. |
Matchmaking selections | The most selected categories and interests. Show all opens Matchmaking. |
A row shows a dash when its feature is off or there is no data yet. Rows for open chat show the tooltip "Open chat is currently disabled for this event" while open chat is off.
For attendee-level insights such as top attendees, companies and locations, open Analytics. See Read attendee analytics.
Limits
The checklist is a manual to-do list. It does not check what you have set up.
The checklist and its hidden state are shared by all admins of the event. They are not personal.
The checklist disappears for good once the event has started.
Troubleshooting
The checklist is missing
The event has started, or an admin hid it. If the event has not started, select …% to-dos completed at the top right of Home.
The sixth task can't be ticked
Tick Check details and add a cover photo, Set up matchmaking and Add the meeting slots for networking first.
Join Code and Join URL are missing
The event is invite-only. Registrants get personal join links. See Invite-only or public: event visibility, join codes and join links.
The Open chats card says open chat is disabled
Turn on Open chat under Networking > Settings. See Networking settings reference.
