The Moderation & Statistics tab lists every pitch reel uploaded to your event with its views, likes and reports. Use it to handle reported videos, hide or delete videos, block uploaders, pin videos and export likes.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
To review videos before they go live, see Approve pitch reels before they go live. The Moderation tool button and the Awaiting approval status come from that setting.
Where to find it
Engagement > Pitch Reels > Moderation & Statistics in the admin panel.
Read the statistics
Above the video table, the tab shows four figures:
Figure | What it counts |
Videos uploaded (N) | Videos in the video table, with the current filter applied. |
Total views | Views of all videos. A view counts when someone watches a video for 3 seconds in the app's full-screen player. A person who watches the same video again later adds another view. |
Total likes | Likes on all videos. |
Attendees reached | "Number of unique attendees who viewed at least one pitch reel." |
Total views, Total likes and Attendees reached cover every video in the event, whatever its status, and don't change with the filters.
Videos that are still uploading or processing are not listed. A video the attendee deleted themselves is removed and not counted.
Filter the videos
Each filter button shows a count. Select one to show only those videos; select it again to clear it. One filter applies at a time.
Filter | Shows |
Reported | Videos with at least one open report. |
Awaiting approval | Videos waiting for approval while pre-moderation is on. |
Deleted | Videos an admin deleted. The files are gone. |
Hidden | Videos hidden from attendees. Admins can still play them. |
Published | Videos attendees can see. |

Moderation | Reported + N (N open reports) or Blocked from publishing. |

Rows with open reports have a red background.
Handle a reported video
Attendees report a video from the player's menu and pick a reason. The video then no longer shows in that attendee's feed.
Brella notifies Moderation contacts by email, "Video reported for review - <event name>", with the uploader, reporter, reason and admin-panel video link.
The video gets Reported + N in the Moderation column.
Repeated or muted reports may not produce another email. Check Moderation & Statistics for reports.
Set the contacts in Settings; see Pitch reels settings.
Open Moderation & Statistics and select Reported.
Select View and moderate on the video. The video is blurred with "Video was reported". Select See video to play it.
Read the reports under Reported by (N). Each shows the reporter's name and email, the date, the reason and Report status: Open or Solved.
Choose what to do:
To keep the video, select Mark all reports as solved. The red row and Reported + N disappear.
To remove it from the app, select Hide video.
To delete it and stop the attendee from uploading, select Block uploader & delete the video.
To stop emails about one video, turn on Mute report notifications for this video in the same window. Moderation contacts get no email about new reports on it, and new reports are marked Solved at once.
Earlier Admin Panel interface.
Moderation actions
The Video moderation window shows the video, the uploader, the video's Total views, Total likes and Reach, and the actions that fit its status:
Video | Actions |
Published | Block uploader & delete the video, Hide video |
Hidden | Block uploader & delete the video, Publish video |
Awaiting approval | Block uploader & delete the video, Reject, Approve |
Deleted | Block uploader |
Uploader blocked (any status) | Remove upload restriction |
What each action does:
Hide video: confirm Hide the video in the dialog "Hide the video?". Attendees no longer see the video. The uploader gets the push notification "Your video was not approved." and can upload a new video.
Publish video: attendees see the video again. The uploader gets "Your video has been approved and is now live."
Block uploader & delete the video: confirm Block & delete in the dialog "Block uploader and delete video?". The video file is deleted for good and the attendee can't upload again in this event. If the video was published or awaiting approval, the uploader gets "Your video was not approved."
Block uploader: stops the attendee from uploading again without changing the video.
Remove upload restriction: lets the attendee upload again. A deleted video stays deleted; their next upload replaces it.
Approve and Reject: see Approve pitch reels before they go live.
Warning: deleting a video can't be undone. The row stays in the table with the status Deleted and "Video was permanently deleted".
Admins can also hide or delete a video from the app while watching. See Approve pitch reels before they go live.
Pin videos
Pinned videos come first in each attendee's feed.
In the video table, select the pin icon on a row. The video appears under Pinned (N) at the top of the tab.
To change the order, drag a pinned video by its handle.
To unpin, select the pin on the video's card and confirm Unpin in the dialog "Unpin video?".
Earlier Admin Panel table with pin controls. The current table uses Ticket type instead of Group.
In the app, each attendee sees the pinned videos they haven't watched first, in your order. Next come the other videos they haven't watched, newest first, then the videos they have watched. Home shows the first 6 of that list.
There is no limit on the number of pinned videos. Pinning a hidden or deleted video has no effect in the app.
Export likes
Select Export likes (.csv). The message "Your CSV export will be delivered by email shortly." confirms the request.
Brella emails you "<event name>, report of video likes" with a ZIP file that contains the CSV.
The CSV has the columns Video ID, Status, Uploaded by, Likes count and Liked by. Status is published, pending (awaiting approval), hidden or deleted. Each video has one row, followed by one row per like with the person's name and email. Videos are sorted by likes, most first. The export includes every status except videos still uploading. It has no view counts, and you can't download the videos themselves.
Limits
Views count only in the app's full-screen player, not in the admin panel.
Troubleshooting
A video has reports but no Reported tag
The reports were marked solved, or Mute report notifications for this video was on when they arrived.
An attendee can't upload any more
The Moderation column shows Blocked from publishing. Open one of their videos with View and moderate and select Remove upload restriction.
The view counts look low
Only views of 3 seconds or more in the full-screen player count. A video playing on the uploader's profile doesn't count.
