Let attendees rate sessions with 1 to 5 stars and a comment, see the results per session in the admin panel and export them as CSV files. Ratings open when a session starts.
Before you start
You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.
Ratings are turned on per session. The event-level default only applies to sessions you create afterwards.
Attendees rate in the mobile app and in the web app. Only networking slots can't be rated.
Attendees see only their own rating. Organizers see every rating with the attendee's name and email.
Where to find it
Per session: Content > Schedule > Timeslots, Edit on the session, Preferences tab, Enable ratings.
Event default and bulk reset: Content > Schedule > Settings > Session ratings.
Results: the Rating column in Timeslots, and the session's Ratings tab.
Exports: the Ratings tab (one session) and Content > Schedule > Settings > Data export > Session rating data (all sessions).
Turn ratings on for a session
Open Content > Schedule > Timeslots and select Edit on the session.
Open the Preferences tab.
Turn on Enable ratings. The text under it reads "Once enabled, attendees can rate the session after the start time."
Under Show in action bar on home page, choose who gets the rating prompt in the app's Feedback hub:
Users who bookmarked this session (default)
All users with access to this session
Selected lists: then choose the lists. If the session is restricted to specific lists, only those lists are offered.
Select Update.
Show in action bar on home page controls the prompt only. Any attendee who can open the session can rate it from the session page.
Set the default for new sessions
Open Content > Schedule > Settings and go to Session ratings.
Turn on Enable session ratings by default. New content slots are created with Enable ratings on. Existing sessions do not change.
Turn ratings on or off for every session
Open Content > Schedule > Settings and go to Session ratings.
Under Reset session ratings for all slots, select Enable for all or Disable for all.
Confirm with Yes, enable for all or Yes, disable for all. The dialog warns: "This will override any existing settings for session ratings."
This changes Enable ratings on every content slot, including sessions you set by hand. The message Session ratings have been enabled for all sessions. (or disabled) confirms it. Existing ratings are kept when you disable; attendees can't see or add ratings while the switch is off.
Read the results
Content > Schedule > Timeslots has a Rating column: N/A when ratings are off, No ratings when no star ratings have been submitted, otherwise the average with the number of ratings, for example 4.5 ⭐ (12), and the number of comments, for example 3 💬. Select it to open the session's Ratings tab.
The Ratings tab lists each response, newest first: Score in stars, or a 🚫 icon with "The user didn't attend" for attendees who skipped; Comment; Attendee with name and email; Created at; Updated at. The tab adds the number of star ratings to its name when that count is above zero. Times are in the event's time zone.
In the Timeslots Rating column, the average and rating count leave out "did not attend" answers. Those responses remain visible in the session's Ratings tab.
Delete removes one rating after the confirmation This rating will be deleted ("This action cannot be undone."). The message Rating deleted successfully confirms it.
The example above shows a scored response. Below, the same attendee changed that response to I did not attend and cleared the comment.
Export ratings
One session
Open the session's Ratings tab.
Select Export (.csv). The message Sent to your email appears.
Open the email with the subject <event name> - rating report. The ZIP file contains one CSV with the columns
Score,Comment,Name,Email,Created at,Updated at,Timeslot ID.
All sessions
Open Content > Schedule > Settings and go to Data export.
Select Export .zip next to Session rating data. The message Your export will be delivered by email shortly. appears.
Open the email with the subject <event name> - rating report. The ZIP file contains one CSV per session with ratings on, plus a CSV of every session in the folder
all-sessions, with two extra columns at the start:Session nameandSession start time.
Both ZIP files are named <event-name>-timeslot-ratings-report-<date and time>.zip. In the files, Score is the star value, or Not attended for skipped answers. Name reads (Deleted registrant) when the attendee's account no longer exists. Times are in the event's time zone. The export covers content slots with Enable ratings on; turn ratings back on for a session to export its old ratings.
What attendees see
On the session page, a Rate this session card with 5 stars. Before the start time the stars are gray and the card reads "You can rate this session once it starts."
On the event home page, the Feedback hub with a Session ratings button and the number of sessions not yet rated, for example 1 New. It lists the sessions the attendee can access that have started, have ratings on and include the attendee in Show in action bar on home page. An attendee can answer I did not attend instead of giving stars.
The Feedback hub also has a Meeting ratings button when Meeting ratings is on under Networking > Ratings > Settings and the attendee has an accepted meeting in a slot that has started.
The Feedback hub is hidden while nothing can be rated.
One rating per attendee per session. Rating again replaces the earlier rating. There is no deadline.
The attendee steps are in Rate a session in the attendee help center.
Limits
Ratings open at the session's start time, not at its end.
Networking slots can't be rated.
Stars go up to 5 in half steps. Did not attend responses do not count toward the average.
A rating can't be edited by an organizer, only deleted.
Troubleshooting
Attendees don't see the Session ratings button on the home page
The session has not started, ratings are off for it, or the attendee is not in the audience chosen under Show in action bar on home page. With the default Users who bookmarked this session, only attendees who bookmarked the session get the prompt. They can still rate from the session page.
The Ratings tab is missing on a session
Enable ratings is off, or you are creating the session. The tab appears on saved sessions with ratings on.
Export (.csv) is disabled
Enable ratings is off for the session. Turn it on, save, and export.
The Rating column shows N/A
Ratings are off for that session. Turn on Enable ratings in Preferences.
