Enable open chat

Updated this week

Open Chat allows attendees to send direct chat messages to each other during an event. This feature supports real-time conversations and makes networking more flexible and immediate.

How it works

When Open Chat is enabled, attendees can:

  • Send direct messages to other participants.

  • Start conversations instantly without scheduling a meeting.

  • Use chat to introduce themselves, ask questions, or continue discussions after sessions.

This helps create a more dynamic and interactive networking experience.

  • Go to Networking

  • Toggle on the Enable open chat

When Open Chat is disabled

If Open Chat is turned off, attendees cannot send direct chat messages to each other. Instead, they can still connect by sending meeting requests and scheduling 1:1 meetings through the meeting system.

When to use Open Chat

Open Chat is useful for:

  • Casual networking and introductions

  • Quick questions between attendees

  • Follow-up conversations after sessions

  • Less structured networking experiences

Enabling Open Chat encourages spontaneous interactions and helps attendees connect more easily throughout the event.
