Add sponsors to a website (V2)

Written by Customer Success

Show sponsors by category on your website. Visitors can search the list and open each sponsor's details, links and media.

Note: Website widgets V2 are scheduled to launch on 1 November 2026. These steps apply once V2 is available in your event.

Before you start

  • Turn on Sponsors and add your sponsor profiles in Brella. See Create and edit a sponsor.

  • Assign each sponsor to a category shown on the main Sponsors page. See Manage sponsor categories.

  • Add the logos, descriptions and other content you want website visitors to see.

  • Arrange access to your website's HTML/embed area, or ask your web developer to install the code.

Where to find it

Widgets > Sponsors in the admin panel. You can also select Add sponsors to your website in the Sponsors page header.

Configure and embed the sponsors

  1. In Categories, choose the categories to include. Leave it empty to include all eligible categories.

  2. Turn on Every sponsor at once to show each category's complete list without a Show all control.

  3. Turn on Cover images if you want cover images on top-level sponsor tiles.

  4. Under Sponsor details, choose whether to include Custom tabs, Media gallery and the Copy-link button.

  5. Choose Time format for sponsored sessions shown in the details.

  6. Select Desktop and Phone above the preview to check both widths.

  7. Open a sponsor in the preview to check its details and links.

  8. Select Copy embed code and give the complete code to your web developer, or select Share with developer.

The developer link opens the code and preview without a Brella account. After installation, check the category list and a sponsor's details on your website.

Copy the code or share link before leaving or switching tabs. The builder does not save your choices. After changing options, replace the website code or share a new link.

Choose how much to show

Use Every sponsor at once for a short list. Leave it off for a longer list that visitors can expand within each category.

For separate pages, turn on Advanced and enter Sponsors per page. This splits the full sponsor list into pages, rather than setting a separate page size for each category. This page size still applies when Every sponsor at once is on.

Under Advanced, Logos, top level, Logos, middle level and Logos, lowest level adjust logo sizes. Check the preview with your actual logos after changing them.

What visitors see

Categories and sponsors within each category follow their position order. The widget does not use the event's alphabetical sponsor sorting to rearrange those positions.

Visitors can search sponsors. Available custom-field filters appear beside the search. They can select Show all sponsors to clear a search or filter with no results.

Selecting a sponsor opens its available description, website/social links and sponsored sessions. Custom tabs adds links to those pages. Media gallery adds images and links from its media.

The Cover images option controls tiles in the list. A sponsor's cover image still appears in its details when the profile has one.

Troubleshooting

Sponsors aren't available

Select Turn on Sponsors in the builder warning to open the sponsor settings. Enable the feature, then return to the widget preview.

The sponsors can't be shown

Clear Categories and check the preview. Check that the intended categories contain sponsors and are shown on the main Sponsors page, then select them again.

A category or sponsor is missing

Check the category selection and clear search/filters. A category left off the main Sponsors page is excluded even if you select it in the widget builder.

Cover images are missing from the list

Check Cover images, the category's level and the sponsor's cover image. Only top-level tiles show cover images in the list.

Custom tabs or media are missing

Check that the sponsor has that content and that Custom tabs or Media gallery is on. Replace the website embed after changing widget options.
