Show featured speakers and a searchable speaker list on your website. Visitors can open a speaker's biography, sessions and social links.
Note: Website widgets V2 are scheduled to launch on 1 November 2026. These steps apply once V2 is available in your event.
Before you start
Add your speakers and their profile content in Brella.
Turn on the Speakers feature. If the widget builder shows a warning, select Turn on Speakers, then Activate on the Speakers page.
Choose your featured speakers before configuring the widget. See Order speakers and choose featured speakers.
Arrange access to your website's HTML/embed area, or ask your web developer to install the code.
Where to find it
Widgets > Speakers in the admin panel. You can also select Add speakers to your website on the Speakers page.
Configure and embed the speakers
Set Shown at first to the number of speakers you want in the first batch of the main list.
Turn on Featured speakers only once to leave featured speakers out of All speakers.
Under Headings, enter different Featured speakers and All speakers headings if needed.
Choose Time format for the sessions shown in speaker details.
Select Desktop and Phone above the preview to check both widths.
Open a speaker in the preview to check their profile and sessions.
Select Copy embed code and give the complete code to your web developer, or select Share with developer.
The developer link opens the code and preview without a Brella account. After installation, check the speaker list and a profile on your website.
Copy the code or share link before leaving or switching tabs. The builder does not save these choices. After changing options, replace the website code or share a new developer link.
Add social links
Turn on Advanced.
In Social links, choose a speaker.
Under Profiles, enter their full profile addresses in the matching fields.
Choose another speaker to add their links.
Open each speaker in the preview and check the links.
Copy the updated embed code or developer link.
The available fields are LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. These links are part of this widget's configuration; they do not edit the speaker's Brella profile.
What visitors see
Featured speakers appear first, in their Highlight order. The main list follows the event's speaker sorting. Shown at first controls the main list, not the featured section.
Visitors can search by name, job title or company. Search results include matching featured speakers. The button below the main list shows how many further speakers it will load.
Selecting a speaker opens their available profile content and assigned sessions. Session times use the event's time zone.
For example, use Keynotes as the featured heading and turn on Featured speakers only once to avoid repeating keynote speakers in the main list.
