Sell tickets with a website widget (V2)

Add a ticket shop to your event website. Buyers choose tickets, enter their details and continue to payment from the widget.

Note: Website widgets V2 are scheduled to launch on 1 November 2026. These steps apply once V2 is available in your event.

Before you start

  • You need organization-admin or event-admin access to the admin panel.

  • The event must be Invite only, with ticketing enabled and Stripe connected.

  • Checkout must be enabled for the event. If you see “Checkout is disabled for this event.”, contact Brella through Support.

  • Agree which ticket types, prices, questions and terms buyers need before adding the shop to your website.

Prepare the event

  1. Open Ticketing > Settings. Turn on Enable ticketing and select Save.

  2. Open Ticketing > Tickets. If you see Stripe not connected, select Connect to Stripe.

  3. On the Stripe card, select Connect with to open Stripe's setup. Have the person responsible for your payment account complete that setup.

  4. Return to Brella and check that the Stripe card shows User connected: before creating tickets.

  5. In Ticketing > Tickets, select Create new. Enter Name, choose the Ticket type list, and add a description if needed.

  6. Under Pricing information, enter the price and select its currency. Select Create ticket.

  7. Check that each ticket you intend to sell has Active status and the intended price.

  8. Open Ticketing > Registration Form. Check the questions buyers must answer for each ticket.

  9. Open Ticketing > Registration Page. Under Privacy policy & Terms of use, enter your event's URLs and select Save.

The shop offers active tickets with a payment price configured. Choosing an archived ticket in the widget settings does not put it back on sale.

Build the ticket shop

  1. Open Widgets > Ticketing. You can also select Add the ticket shop to your website from Ticketing > Tickets.

  2. Under Shown as, choose “Get tickets” button for a shop that opens in a dialog. Choose On the page to keep the shop visible.

  3. Under Tickets offered, select the tickets for this website. Leave it empty to include all purchasable tickets.

  4. Check the Desktop and Phone previews. Choose tickets and continue through Details to Review.

  5. Check the ticket names, currencies, attendee questions and total. The preview says Purchases are off in this preview and cannot create an order.

  6. Select Copy embed code, or Share with developer. Give the copied code or link to the person who maintains your website.

  7. Check the installed shop on desktop and phone before sharing the website.

Copy or share before leaving the page or switching widget tabs. The builder does not save these choices. After changing them, copy new code or share a new link and update the website.

For installation, use Install website widgets V2.

Choose the page after payment

Under Advanced, leave Page after payment empty to return buyers to the page containing this widget. That page displays their order after confirmation.

Enter a full web address only if you want a different return page. This replaces the default return address. Ask your developer how that page presents the receipt and ticket-claim actions.

What buyers see

  • Tickets: choose quantities. Tickets with different currencies cannot be bought in one order.

  • Details: enter the buyer's contact details and the required attendee information. Accept the terms to continue.

  • Review: check the tickets, discount and total. Select Go to payment, or Get tickets when that button is shown.

  • After checkout, the default return page waits for confirmation. A completed order shows Thank you for your order and the ticket summary.

Claim ticket appears only for tickets that have a join link available. A returned payment page alone is not proof that an order is completed.

Troubleshooting

There are no tickets on sale right now.
Check Ticketing > Tickets for active tickets with a configured price. Clear Tickets offered to check the full selection, then choose the intended tickets again.

Purchases are off in this preview
This is the preview's expected behavior. Check the layout, questions and totals there. Arrange a separate payment test only when your team is ready to authorize it.

Your payment is still being confirmed
The order has not reached confirmed status. Check the receipt email and contact the organizer if confirmation does not arrive. Do not ask the buyer to place another order before checking the first.

Your order can't be shown
Ask the buyer to check their receipt and ticket email. Check whether Page after payment was changed and give your developer the return-page address without sharing buyer details publicly.
