Read the stream visitors table

The visitors table on Content > Streams > Analytics lists who watched the selected stream in the selected time frame, and for how long.

Before you start

  • You need to be an organization admin or an event admin.

  • Streams must be on. If Content > Streams shows "You haven't enabled streams yet!" or "You have disabled streams!", select Enable streams or Re-enable streams.

  • Only signed-in attendees who watch in the mobile app or the web app are recorded.

Where to find it

Content > Streams > Analytics. The table is at the bottom of the page, under the chart, the summary figures and the Export (.csv) button.

Choose the stream and time frame

  1. Open Content > Streams, then the Analytics tab.

  2. In Select stream, choose the stream. The first stream is selected when the page opens.

  3. In Select time frame, set the start and end date and time. The Event start preset covers the event's start date to its end date.

The chart, the figures and the table update when you change the stream or the time frame.

When the page opens, and when you select Reset to default, the time frame is:

  • Before the event's end date: the last 14 days up to now.

  • From the end date on: the event's start date to its end date.

How Brella records watch time

  • A viewing starts when an attendee opens the stream player in the app.

  • It ends when the attendee closes the stream, switches to another stream, opens another screen over the stream, or the app disconnects.

  • If the attendee returns briefly to the same stream without starting another tracked viewing, Brella can continue the earlier viewing. The gap counts as watch time.

  • Brella records watching per stream, not per address. If the same address is used in a session or a sponsor booth, that viewing is counted there.

Read the table

Column

What it means

Name

The attendee.

Job title, Company

From the attendee's profile.

View Count

How many times the attendee opened the stream during the time frame.

Total Time

Total length of the attendee's viewings that overlap the time frame.

  • A viewing that starts before or ends after the time frame counts in full in Total Time.

  • Rows are ordered by Total Time, then by View Count, highest first.

  • The table shows 20 rows per page. Change the page size at the bottom of the table.

  • Attendees whose account was deleted are not listed.

See each viewing

Expand a row to see the attendee's viewings in the time frame, earliest first:

  • Start Time and End Time, in the event's time zone and your admin panel time format.

  • Duration, for example 1h 5m 20s.

End Time is empty while the attendee is still watching.

How the table relates to the summary figures

For the same stream and time frame:

  • Total unique viewers is the number of attendees in the table. It also counts attendees whose account was deleted, so it can be higher than the number of rows.

  • Average time per unique viewer is the total watch time of all viewers divided by Total unique viewers.

Export the table

Select Export (.csv). The export uses the selected stream and time frame. The message "Your CSV export will be delivered by email shortly." confirms the request. The email subject includes the time frame.

Brella emails a zip with 2 files:

  • A file ending in -interactions.csv: one row per opening or viewing that starts in the time frame.

  • A file ending in -visitors.csv: one row per attendee.

To export all streams with a 15-minute overview, see Analyze stream traffic in 15-minute intervals.

Limits

  • The table is not live. Select Refresh data to load new activity.

  • Viewing on the stream provider's own page or in another tool is not recorded.

Troubleshooting

The table is empty
No one watched the selected stream in the selected time frame. Check Select stream and Select time frame.
