Create and manage registration links

A registration link lets many people join an invite-only event through one shared link or code. Everyone who joins through it lands on the ticket type list you chose, up to the usage limit you set.

Before you start

  • You need to be an event admin or an organization admin.

  • The event must be invite-only (People > Settings > Event access > Invite only). Public events have no Registration links tab.

  • Warning: Deleting a registration link permanently deletes every registrant created through it, including people who already joined the event. To stop a link, set it to Inactive instead.

Where to find it

People > Registrants > Registration links in the admin panel.

Create a registration link

  1. Open People > Registrants.

  2. Select New registrant(s) > Add registration link.

  3. Enter a Name. Up to 40 characters. The name appears only in the admin panel.

  4. Choose a Ticket type list. New registrants from this link join that list.

  5. Enter Max uses: 1 to 99999. The default is 1.

  6. Under Status, keep Active or choose Inactive.

  7. Under Privacy, keep or clear Include in natural language search. This applies to the profiles of people who join through the link once natural language search is on for the event.

  8. Select Create.

Brella generates a 6-character join code for the link.

Share the link

In the Registration links table, the Join Code column shows the code with a copy button. Copying gives the full join URL (<event URL>/join/<code>). Attendees open the URL or enter the code in the app.

Each person who joins becomes a registrant with status Joined on the link's ticket type list. The Registration link column in Registrants shows which link they used, and you can filter that column by link. The registrants export has a registration_link column.
