Get a direct link to an image

Some fields take the address of an image instead of an upload. Examples are Photo URL in the speaker CSV file and Logo and Cover Image in the sponsor CSV file. If your image is only on your computer, upload it in the event info editor and copy its address.

Before you start

  • You need to be an event admin or an organization admin.

  • Most image fields in the admin panel take an upload. You need a link only for fields that ask for an address.

  • The image must be a PNG, JPEG, WEBP or GIF file, up to 5 MB.

Where to find it

Custom content > Event info in the admin panel.

Get the link

  1. Open Custom content > Event info.

  2. Select Add event info. If the event already has pages, select Create new.

  3. Leave Page type on Editor.

  4. In the Content toolbar, select the image button.

  5. Select Drop the file or click to upload and choose the image.

  6. Select Add. The image appears in the editor.

  7. Right-click the inserted image and use your browser's option to copy its image address. Copy image copies the image itself instead of its address.

If that option is missing, use the same menu to open the image in a new tab. Copy the address from that tab's address bar.

  8. Open a private browser window where you are not signed in to Brella.

  9. Paste the copied address into its address bar. Check that it opens the image itself without asking you to sign in.

  10. Return to the editor and select Exit without saving. When the browser asks "Leaving this page will discard the changes that you've made. Do you want to proceed?", confirm.

Use the image file's address in the CSV file or field that asks for it. If it opens an editor page or asks you to sign in, copy the image address again before using it. Leaving the page without saving does not delete the uploaded image.
