Stripe has several payment methods which support the purchase of tickets. At Brella you can set the purchase method in line with Stripe when setting up your ticketing process.

How to configure payment methods

As Brella uses Stripe for payment and ticketing processing, most of the payment methods supported by Stripe, are also supported by Brella.

The default method enabled for all clients is Cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc).

To configure the payment methods for your event, go to your event's Stripe dashboard, then press "Settings" and then "Payment methods". There you will be able to enable or disable the payment methods as you see fit.

If certain payment methods don't appear on your Stripe checkout page, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Integrations tab.

  2. Press on “Stripe dashboard” and you will land on the Stripe dashboard of your event. But you would see only certain accessible features there. So what you need to do next is to remove the /acct_1NTixBR2VHxjTDww/dashboard or whatever you have after dashboard.stripe.com to access the correct level of features of this account.

  3. Click "Settings".

  4. Click "Payment methods".

  • Note that Google, Apple Pay, and other wallet payment methods only show if your device has that wallet card information saved and in use.

  • Also, note that some payment methods support only certain currencies. So if you’re buying a USD ticket, for example, you won’t see the e.g. iDEAL as a payment method option there.

NB! PayPal as a payment method via Stripe doesn’t work with Brella.
We found that unfortunately, while we support other payment methods, PayPal we can’t support at this stage due to the way Brella's integration with Stripe is built. We do have plans to make it available in the future, but there is no set timeline as of yet.

NB! Bacs Direct Debit, Bank transfers, Boleto, Canadian pre-authorised debits, Konbini, OXXO, SEPA Direct Debit, SOFORT, ACH Direct Debit do work but with potential risk/issue.

These payment methods may work with Brella; not all of these have been tested yet (if critical to your business case, please contact our team to have your desired payment method tested). However, at present, with these methods, the tickets are provided even while the payment is pending, and are NOT automatically canceled. If you want to cancel these due to non-payment, you need to manually delete the invites.

See the screen recording below with the same steps.

Supported Payment Methods

Stripe is constantly updating their supported payment methods so to stay up to date on their payment methods, see their documentation here.
